This view towards the glaciers of Trockener Steg (2939m/9670ft) gives a good indication of the huge scale of Zermatt. It is just possible to make out several of the lifts which converge on Trockener Steg. Part of the year round skiing area can be seen on the beautifully smooth glaciers. This photo was taken in October. Already there is very good skiing on the huge glaciers.
